to lead them with skillful hands." Psalm 78:72 Psalm 78 gives us two important truths for those hoping to position their people for spiritual growth and change:
Ministering with a true heart Isn't that what we want as God's people? We want to lead with a true heart that honors the Lord and our calling. A heart that isn't true to the Lord and our calling will often leave us in the ditch in life and ministry. To lead with a true heart, it is essential that we be on our own journey with Jesus in which we are growing spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. If we hope to lead our people to spiritual growth and maturity in Christ, we must be walking that same road with him ourselves. Ministering with skillful hands In addition to having a true heart, it is also essential that we lead with skillful hands, equipped with the tools necessary for positioning our people for growth and change. The first half of the picture is having the training, coaching, or mentoring you and the leaders around you need to walk out the Lord's call. Second, you need resources and tools to position your people for growth and change.
